Hi, Could anyone tell me if theres anyway to overclock my gpu with vista?
I have just upgraded to vista ultimate from xp and none of my overclocking software (Ntune, rivatuner, Atitool) seems to work! i set the clocks to my desired freq and when i apply it resets itself?

I know i could flash the bios but i dont feel comfortable with that as i may do somthing wrong!

Thanks Carl.

Odd one matey, as riva tuner works no problems with vista ultimate 32bit and 64bit, im currently using it with 64bit ultimate this very second lol.

Have you got the latest version 2.6?

BTW welcome, and CLAIMED!!! :D

:D

Thanks mate,

Yeah i am using version 2.6 i even tried reinstalling it!

Also the test button seems to have disapeared since the vista install and when i press apply then ok it automatically sets back to the original settings same as all the other overclockers so i can only guess its somthing to do with vista?

Is there anything i have to change in the process with vista or is it the same as using xp?

64bit or 32bit? I have had no problems with rivatuner and 32bit vista. Could be driver sigining on vista 64bit causing problems? Dont know for sure as i have never used 64bit vista but you could try pressing f8 at startup and booting with driver sigining off see if that helps.

I thought the neswest version of rivatuner had addressed this though?

did you upgrade to Vista from XP (like a direct upgrade)?

Sometimes it is better to do a fresh install of Vista than from doing it in xp as this solves most problems

I've got Vista 64 Home Premium and can't get ATItool to work due to the way Vista protects it's drivers. Rivatuner works though.
