Upgradeitus back again

Thought i would throw this in General Hardware as covers both CPU and mobo.

Have seen that AMD have brought out the new APU's and was wondering / contemplating upgrading my sig rig to swap ou thte quad and mobo to this and this.

What i am after is peoples views on whether this would actually be a worthwhile spending?

You have a pretty decent system. I'd say hold off your upgradeitus until Bulldozer2 or Ivy Bridge

If you haven't already, overclock that CPU a bit.

Upgradeitus is a pretty serious disease lol. I get it often. I pretty much have to set a date where I will buy a new PC (e.g save for a year), and stay away from tech news sites until then.

Otherwise cravings for new stuff makes me cave in heh
