Hi All,

I’m thinking of upgrading my PC to improve performance when playing FS2020 in VR, but not sure what is the limiting factor. I have to play at around 80% scaling to improve performance but it would be great to be able to play at 100% with a good frame rate. Obviously graphics card can be improved, but CPU usage is also very high and I’m concerned that could be a limiting factor. Any suggestions welcome.

Not sure about resolution, usually use 1080 but when doing VR I think the headset resolution is a bit higher. Oculus quest 2
If I have a look at (flight sim in) these videos:

I think the i7-9700 would be capable of a decent frame rate, which you can see a CPU from the same generation can provide, with a 3080.

In the video with the 1660 Ti, the increase into higher frame rates is pretty dramatic, from 30 fps to 60 fps with a 3060 Ti (@ 1440p), even when the CPU is a 10700K, so that seems like the best first move here.
