Hi All

My current rig:
i5-3570K @ 3.40GHz (overclocked to 4.20Ghz)
8.00 GB RAM
128GB SSD Primary Drive
521GB SSD Secondary Drive
SAPPHIRE R9 290 Tri-X 4GB
Cheap Iyama 24" Monitor
600W Super Flower PSU

I mainly play RPGs WoW, Skyrim etc and FPS games PUBG, Overwatch etc

I'm looking to move to a better monitor and GPU combo with 120 - 144Hz frame rates.

To achieve this with the games I'm playing, would an Nvidia GTX 1070 suffice and which monitor do people recommend as its a bit of a mine field?

Cheers
Jason

Moved to a 1070 8GB + 144(165)Hz 1440p display (ROG Swift PG278QR) just over a year ago, never looked back. Upgraded from a 7950 and similar bog standard 24" 60Hz 1080p. The new screen is light and day in comparison but wasn't cheap. If you got the cash to splash then do it! A good monitor will last you years but may define what GPU route you take in those future years.

Not sure how they are coming along now with HDR added in to the mix, but i remember reading a lot of bad reviews about bleeding with all the 27" 1440p panels so went with the TN panel instead. Sounded like it was a 50/50 lottery back in 2016 - they might have resolved this issue in manufacturing now

your 600W PSU should be able to handle everything though i'd still double check it before
