1Gig ram
9800pro
350W power supply that isnt ATX2.0

Id like to upgrade a little because its becoming a little bit hard to run some of the latest and greatest games. Iv only got a budget of between £200-£300 though :( (because im buying a new car :D )

Any suggestions?

Depends on budget. But if you're looking for the cheapest upgrade to get the best bang for buck then I'd say look out in the members market for the fastest AGP gfx card you can find. Also add another 1gb memory. The CPU, while not cutting edge, is ok for most games.

Anything other than a memory upgrade or gfx card upgrade will start costing a lot due to the change in motherboard, memory type and PSU. Also I wouldn't recommend buying a new AGP gfx card because eventually you'll have to move to a new CPU format. So that's why I say get a second hand one in the MM.

Can i not use my current ram in a new motherboard? All i remember about it is that its blue ( :p ) and its PC3200, two sticks of 512mb.

So im thinking, new processor, new mobo, new case/power supply, new graphics card? Can this not be done on budget? Come on guys, pull somthing outa the hat for me, please!

The RAM you have will be DDR. But both the newer AMD socket AM2's and also the Intel Conroes use DDR2 RAM. SO if you upgrade to the latest CPU's then you'll need to change your RAM.

You could keep the RAM if you upgrdaded to an older socket 939 AMD setup.

I'll leave it to others to spec a mini-upgrade as that's not my forte :)
