I've finally decided to upgrade my 5Dc but can't decide what with. Torn between the 5D3 and 6D. Is the 6D AF a big enough step up over the 5Dc? The wifi and GPS would be useful on the 6D and the £1k saved but I might benefit more from the better AF on the 5D3? Would I benefit from hiring the two?

I'm also look for some new glass for landscapes. I was recommended the sigma 12 - 24 but i'm also looking at the canon 17-40mm F/4.0 L and 24-105mm F/4.0 L

With Canon cashback and free LR 5 for £1300 at some places the 6D looks pretty sweet to me. I depends if you would actually need the better autofocus I guess.

I'd probably look at 17-40 over 24-105 for landscapes specifically.

What do you mostly shoot, stuff like Landscape you won't need the extra AF of the 5D3.

If I had the money and owned neither, I'd buy a 5D3, and I own a 6D...

Also, WiFi and GPS destroy the battery, what do you think you'd use the WiFi for, because I'm yet to find a great use for it yet.

The 6D will do for most things, just depends what you want it for. I do love mine.

That's the one i was edging towards so that one it is then.
I want an all round camera really, I feel this is were the 5D is frustrating me. With a 50mm prime or my L lens upto 200mm it's great, anything over that and i'm getting a lot of noise and/or blur which i never had with my old 450D (I'm blaming the AF).
I nearly bought the 6D due to the price but using a 100-400mm for action shots i want a good AF really.

Manual Focus (on a tripod)
100-400L (think pretty much all @400 - #1 is a cropped image pretty much full size crop)
May have forgotten to turn off the IS (hence slightly soft at some points)
6D
ISO 4000

It doesn't let you know much about focus issues, but let's you know about ISO performance and noise at that kind of focal length.
