Hi folks,

Just a sense check on the below - budget is pretty much taken up and so if a price is going up then another has to come down. Ive gone for the H5 cooler due to weight concerns (skylakes cracking etc). Ill probably just get the Sentry 2 as well. All the purchased bits aside from the Z170 Deluxe are being reused from my current main PC.
Upgrade is so I can goto Windows 10 and have the activation locked to a newer motherboard than my current one.

Competitor links and prices.

Oh sorry, its been a while! Ill review the rules before updating the post.

My concern with leaving the i5 2500k in place is that I dont want my Windows 10 activation locked to that old motherboard. Unfortunately the platform is so old now that i have to buy a whole new platform. I figure Skylake is the way to go to cover the next 5 years or so.

Thanks, yes I was very tempted by the bundles, but found an openbox Z170 Deluxe for £100....would have been rude not to! It was missing the backplate and the wifi antenna. Of course any decent coooler has iuts own backplate and I scored the antenna for £12 off fleabay.
Id be happy with 8GB RAM tbh, certainly at least for now so yeah, could certainly make some room for 3000mhz
