upgrading 3.06ghz imac to 8GB - what do i need to buy?

Hello - can someone tell me what i need to buy to upgrade the 3.06ghz 24" imac from 4GB to 8GB RAM?

thanks guys - i'll stick with 4gb if i get one. Still trying to decide between imac and self built i7 machine... but that's another story.

I will be editing and encoding movies from my hi-def video camera. The i7 will undoubtedly be much better at this. However, I am looking at the spaghetti of wires behind my old desktop PC and thinking it's got to be iMac!

Oh and I was talking about building my own i7 machine TO RUN OSX on

Not something i want to discuss further here as it is against forum rules.

Ahh this was the post i was looking for. Thanks - as long as i can do basic edits im fine. I'm not Tarantino - this is just for home movies. And I'm REALLY hating wires. iMac it is. I'll get the most powerful one with the graphics card upgraded and 4gb of RAM - i'll upgrade when the prices come down.

Thanks again for the advice. Now i just need to get my brother to order it next time he is on his university network!
