Upgrading a 5770

Im currently thinking about upgrading my 5770 to a nvidia card, i have about 180 to spend but could probably stretch to 200, but im a complete novice when it comes to these things, so any pointers?

my reasons for nvidia is i may want to try 3d vision at some point in the future.

1. Do you want to SLI/Crossfire later down the line?

2. What resolution are you playing at?

3. You could always wait for the 7000, could be an option. Are you struggling playing the games you play with your current card?

Not struggling, but im unable to play certain games at max settings and i want to be prepared for BF3, plus im getting a new monitor as the one im using is nearly 6 years old and wont support 3D.

Currently im playing at 1680x1050 as this is the max my monitor will allow but ofcourse with the new one it will be higher.

with Sli/crossfire it depends really, but with money being tight, probably not.

6870 or 560 ti....or ideally stretch your budget a tad and get a 6950

i would prefer to get a nvidia in whatever choice i make, simply because i would like to try 3d vision at somepoint.

also im planning on getting a 24" 3d ready monitor, so i need something that will handle bf3, plus the high resolution and 3d for the future

EDIT nevermind .. checking some benchmarks and comparing it to the 480 it is only 7-8% slower ... Get the Asus GeForce GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card mate. It's a good deal.

Forget this one unless you want a cheap gtx 480 or need the extra memory.

I would get that if you really have to go with Nvidia and the extra memory 1536MB GDDR5 will help you with 3D and it has 480 Processing Cores.

It's not a bad deal.
