Upgrading a laptop

Hello Thar,

i have a fairly decent spec AMD Sempron 3000+ laptop with 1gb of ram, however the graphics card is fairly bad ( ATi Express 200 PCi Express ). Is it possible to upgrade the graphics card? Is there anything i would need to take into consideration beforehand?. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated, also if anyone can reccomend a decent graphics card that would be nifty too.

In all likehood no. The vast majority of laptops can't be upgraded in that way. Unless it has MXM upgrade slots. What's the make & model?

Thanks for the quick reply guys, I'm not too fussed as the laptop is only used for typing up documents and watching the odd dvd.
