I'd like to increase the longevity of my late-2008 Unibody Macbook by upgrading the hard drive to an SSD. Got a couple of questions:
Do I have to pay attention to the type of SSD I buy? Will my generation of MacBook support the fastest speeds (SATA 3?)? Wouldn't want to buy an expensive drive if I won't see the benefit.
I was also wondering what's the smallest sized drive I could get away with. I don't really store anything on the computer since iTunes Match, but would 64GB be just too small?
My final question is about how best to get Lion installed on the new hard drive. This computer was upgraded from Snow Leopard (and Leopard before that!) so I don't think it has the recovery partition on it.
Cheers all.
