I suspect that the answer to this is no as I haven't found anything via a websearch but is it possible to upgrade the motherboard on a Shuttle xpc?

I have an old SN45g that hasn't been used for a while and the AthlonXP 2500 is getting a bit dated. I really like the case but afaik it isn't possible to buy a new mb for it and update to something more modern which is a shame. From what I have seen it would be better to go itx these days.

A Shuttle owner may be able to tell you if you can fit a newer model Shuttle mobo to your case, but i dont think you can fit an ITX board.

The reason I say that is that the newer Shuttle cases explicitly say 'can now fit ITX motherboards', so presumably this has not been the case in the past?

you can on some of the new J series, but not the one you have. you might find an interchangeable one from a slightly later model that fits the SN case one ebay. But nothing modern really.

treat yourself to a new one :)
