Upgrading AMD card - what to do with Drivers?

Having just picked up the marvelous BF deal on the Sapphire R9 390 (thanks Gibbo!) - this weekend my venerable HD7850 will be retired. Is it best to totally uninstall all drivers and swap cards, or just remove the 7850 drom device manager and let the installed drivers pick up the 390?

Excited to have managed such a bargain upgrade. I was considering waiting for next-gen next year, but I don't like being an early adopter and I can now sit and watch how things develop and upgrade if necessary in my own good time...

i would use ddu clear everything off and shut down to install new gpu

Uninstal via AMD option>when prompted to restart, power down and swap gpus>power on, let legacy(Windows) driver install>restart>install AMD driver.

Yep, that's what i did going from 15.11.1 to Crimson and no problems so far. Fingers crossed etc...
