If her cpu is only running at 10% why does it need upgrading, not much software/games that will stress that cpu, maybe upgrade the gpu instead?

The GPU is the issue, i was running a x2 6000 until a few months ago and it run everything i threw at it, but i had a 4870 in my rig. Upgrade her GPU and you will see a huge improvement.

dude defraggler or any defrag even the built in window one will use over 80% cpu
thats what they do they eat cpu etc, 6400+ is still powerful and just as fast as a mainsteam dual core now adays

jup the X1800 is slow, heck get a 4870 1GB and you will notice the diffrent!
