Upgrading an old OCUK bundle - possible?

Hi guys,

Way way back in 2010 I bought a bundle from OCUK. I don't have the exact details, but my order history shows it as "Radon Intel Core i5 760 2.80GHz @ 4.00GHz Overclocked Bundle".

Now this has been beavering away for 4+ years quite happily, but as time passes on and my demands get a bit more expansive, the 4GB of memory this bundle came with is proving to not be quite enough.

So, I'd like to upgrade the memory in the machine - would this be possible? Or has the memory been tweaked and is integral to the stability of the overclock?

Any guidance would be appreciated!

I'm using it for gaming, plus I'm working with virtual machines (hence the added RAM use). Do I have to get something similar to get it to work with the overclock, or can I just grab any DDR3 RAM?

*edit* I've got this motherboard, the Gigabyte P55-USB3, which takes up to 16GB of RAM (so my plan to stick a couple sticks of 16GB is out!)

What I might do is ramp it up to the full 16GB now, something like this Teamgroup RAM.

Just a thought...that should be considered first, me thinks.
Can you confirm what OS you are running.....and whether 32-bit or 64-bit

Windows 7 64-bit.

Just been looking at the specs of my old RAM and it looks like the timings & voltage haven't been adjusted, so I would guess from this that I can substitute any other motherboard-compatible RAM?

Apologies if I'm being a bit dense or obtuse - it's been 4 years+ since I've looked at PC components in anger, I'm definitely out of the loop!
