Currently has 2x256mb DDR memory which work as 512mb.
On the sony website it says maximum memory is 1gb for this PC.
If i install 1 512mb stick it only reads it as a 256mb.
if i install 2 512mb sticks it reads it as 512mb.
Now if i install a 1gb stick it reads it as a 512mb.
So if i put a 1gb with a 512mb or a 256 mb i get 768mb.
haven't tried with 2x 1gb yet.
I've tried different combos and different brands of the 512mb sticks. There are not a lot of options in sony and there are no firmware update for it on the sony website. Any ideas?
