Hi guys,

My power supply recently died violently, taking with it my mobo and processor, so I need to upgrade.
What I'm looking for is a spec for a mobo, processor, RAM and a PSU with a budget of 200 quid. I'm really not looking for anything special, the hardest work this rig will be doing is playing Starcraft 2 at its lowest graphics settings.
I have no intention of attempting to upgrade this build in the future. I'm not even sure if this is doable with 200 pounds, but any attempt would be much appreciated :).

Here are where my other general questions come in. I wasn't able to find out if my HDD/GPU survived the blowout.
I'm wondering, if i were to get a new processor etc., would testing if my old GPU/HDD were working possibly cause some damage to the new pieces?

Thanks in advance for any answers!

Edit: I forgot my old dvd drive is IDE, so i guess i'll need one of those too, so maybe stretch the budget to 230 :P

Thanks Bobby :).
That PSU is currently out of stock though.
Maybe this PSU would do:
Cooler Master Elite Power 500W Power Supply [RS500-PSARJ3-UK]?
If not i can just wait a few days.
Thanks again!

Buchanan, i dropped my rig into a local pc repair shop. They said they'd take a look at the mobo/cpu for free but anything more would cost me. I couldn't afford to get the rest checked at the time. I won't be putting that old PSU near any of my new components :p. Thanks for the clarification.

Stulid, thanks for the warning, I was going to buy that build. I guess i'll go with the intel build.

Ah, i see. The product description on OCUK for that motherboard could use a little more detail. So if i wanted to go AMD would this be more appropriate?:
Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 AMD 760G (Socket AM3+) DDR3 Motherboard.
