Upgrading Bios for ivy bridge E

Hi,

I bought P9x79 Pro along with i7-4820k processor.

How can I update bois to support i7-4820k processor ? Do I need to put processor in mother board first and then boot up and update it using internet ?

Do I need to put any memory slot in ?

Bit confused please guide me to right path .

thanks but I am confused as If I put my i7 4820k in motherboard or not :S and procedure isn't really easy to understand either
