Basically Im going to do a budget overhaul of my computer and only keep my psu, hard drive and cd drive.

My current (outdated) computer:

cpu: AMD Phenom ii x4 955 never overclocked
gpu: Gainward gtx460
ram: 4gb corsair xms3
mobo: Asus m4a78lt-m
psu: Antec truepower new 650w
case: coolermaster 430
HDD: 1tb WD green

New parts:

cpu: i5 3570k
gpu: undecided but probably just a second hand 580 as gaming not priority
case: cm690ii
ram: 8gb ddr3
motherboard: Im thinking AsRock z77 extreme4 (to be bought new)

My question is: do I need to delete any particular drivers from the hard drive and/or will I need to flash the bios on the motherboard to latest, even if its bought new?

I guess just a general run through of the things that need to be done before turning it on would be useful.

Thanks for your help

I got the 3570k on mm as I am on a tight budget. Also for my needs Haswell is overkill and so not worth the extra money for me

I was actually considering getting a boot SSD, so if its recommended I do a clean install I will definately go down that route

yeah 80-100 for the board. I was looking at some others but since I havent been up to date with hardware for so long I dont really know which one to go for. any suggestions?
