Upgrading DDWRT

ddwrt irc is dead and i need some help.

currently v23 SP2 and want to stick v24 mega_generic on there.

Do i have do to a hard reset, then upload, then another hard reset?

If i backup my settings from the gui, can i then put them back in or are the two versions not compatible?

Upgraded via web GUI to latest, took 1min

Glad you got this sorted, Sp00n. V24 has some nice features to be sure. I especially like the bandwidth log graphs Shame the WRT can't hold a month's worth to make it worthwhile though

Anyway I was posting to say I had DD-WRT v24 on my WRT54GL but after I tried Victek's modded version of Tomato I didn't go back. It's not as slick, but it's faster and FAR lighter, and it doesn't have the nice bandwidth graphs, but it's MUCH better under load. Check it out if you're interested
