I am looking to upgrade my Dell Inspiron 5675 specifically to run Prepa3d simulation software.
Current Spec = AMD Ryzen 3 1200 quadcore 3.10ghz. 8gb DDR 1Rx8 DDR4 UDIMM 2400MHz.
Motherboard is AM4 socket model no 7PR60 (titled Red Skull Summit 16552-1)
Video card is AMD Radeon RX560.

So I was thinking about upgrading the processor to an Ryzen R7-2700X.
dell state that the motherboard is compatible with their own OEM version of this CPU which is the
Dell model MDT18- Ryzen R7 2700X or Dell model 8N7VW Ryzen R7-2700
BUT these are for the 5676 and something about the 5675 inspiron model not picking up the BIOS update for the newer CPU.

Has anybody experience of upgrading the original Ryzen R3 1200 CPUs that came with the 5675 ?

Otherwise is it a new motherboard to go with the R7 cpu. I have also heard that their issues with other generic motherboards not having the mounting holes in the same positions.

I was also looking at upgrading:-
RAM from 1 x 8gb DDR4 2400Mhz to 2 x 8gb DDR4 2400Mhz.
Graphics card from AMD Radeon RX560 2gb to an 8gb Radeon RX580 8gb.

Plus adding
A 512gb SSD drive unit for windows and the Prepar3d software.

Any thoughts and advice greatly appreciated as I have not done this sort of thing before, especially if you have changed the CPU on a dell.
Thanks
