Upgrading due to bigger screen?

Hi Guys

I currently have an ATI 1650 Pro graphics card and I usually use a 19” tft which works fine on BF2 but since using my 40” HDTV I have noticed the game runs very slow. I know I need to upgrade my graphics card but would I need to upgrade anything else for BF2 to run better because I am using a bigger screen?

it would most likely be recommended, maybe try a 3850 for a cheap upgrade or wait for a better recommendation. a budget may also be nice

What is the rest of your system composed of? As jak731 says a budget would also help here to make sure you get the best possible help.
