Upgrading fro 7xx series to 9xx series

Do I need to fully uninstall the driver and re install when the new card is in or can I just plug and play?

I always uninstall fit the new card then install updated driver

Plug the new card in, update the driver, done. It'd be different if you were going from AMD to Nvidia or vice versa.

You can do both...but I did this once and got a bsod

Download drivers for your new card and DDU.
Run DDU through with the setting for fitting a new card.
Remove old card and fit new,
Install new drivers.

Well worth it if I do I'm still rocking 1080p.

Might finally start being able to enable the bells and whistles on some of my favourites

Pong in 1080p with 8xmsaa and DSR lol

just had a little play for an hour and had it stable at 1496 on the core with some benchmark spikes at 1540 on stock volts and 109% power limit.

not really had chance to plaqy with the memory yet tho
