Well next year I don't think I'm going to have the money to upgrade so this month I have 300 and next month I'll have 300 spare and I'm looking to get two cards - one this month and one next month.

I currently have
XFX ATI Radeon HD 4890 XT 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card x 2

I play on a 24 inch monitor at 1920 x 1200 resolution and I want to run everything on max, I can do on most things now but with things like The Witcher 2, Dues Ex, Mass Effect 3, Doom 4, Crysis 2 etc coming out I think I should upgrade now while I can.

So with a rough £300 budget what card should I get?

Thanks

Ok cool thanks for that. So with either of the 2 cards mentioned I should be able to run everything at max at that res.

I am debating waiting until the 580 is released and saving to get one of them and buying a 2nd when they come down in price.

Are they 580's supposed to be much better?

There out now. For some reason OCUK have them all on preorder but in other places you can pick them up now. They have also been reviewed and benched all over the place.

They are the fastest single GPU card on the market, but two in SLi will not beat 2 radeon 6970's in xfire in all games, especially on higher resolutions. The radeons scale a lot lot better. Check the link out above and other places.

There also well above £400 and the 6970's can be picked up for less than £300, so in your budget, and like said once you have xfire up an running will be faster than 2 580's in some cases. The benefit in 580 sli you will have in to me doesn't justify the extra 300ish.

I do have another quick question. I know the 580's have just come out and what not but are there any new cards around the corner? Also this Physics stuff is it that good?
