Upgrading from 7 to 10 question.

Hi guys is it possible to upgrade my sister in laws system to win 10 from 7 without losing functionality of any of her games and programs. She would rather not have to re install everything. If it is could someone post the basic steps here for me please. Thanks so much. If it isn't possible I'll just do a clean win 10 install on her main ssd with my usb tool I got from ms.

Yeh you can upgrade to 10 from 7. There will be an option to keep programs when you install it.

better outcomes - archive an image of the current system and perform a fresh install ...
eg upgrade risks - depending on system age might have unexpected/difficult driver problems, forcing an attempted reversion (if that mechanism works for you)

I never do upgrades, always fresh installs personally but some people don't know how to do that so an upgrade CAN fail at any point.

Recommend you do a complete wipe and reinstall.

Upgrading is never a good idea.
