Hello

Need a bit of advice about which new G-card to get if someone can help?

Im thinking about either a 4850 or if the performance difference is significant, a 4870. Will be gaming at 1680 x 1024 so will I benefit from a 1024mb version of one of those cards?

Many thanks

Iggy

Oops, yeh i meant 1680 x 1050

I was looking at the Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 4870 1024MB, seems a good price. Anyone recommend it?

Its G80? I think. GTS 320mb and im planning on selling it to my cousin. How far away is DX11 likely to be ?

Sounds like a long way off to me, the world might have ended by then. So about this Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 4870 1024MB, would it be a wise choice?

I got a 4870 512mb for my 20" 1680x1050 screen, good enough for me, plays everything on high with AA. Dunno bout these 1GB varients, but I suppose if you can afford it its worth it....
