Time up upgrade this old 4890 for something a bit modern!

I'm tempted by either a GTX560 Ti or a HD 6950. Would like to keep it under £200 if possible. I could just stretch to £212 for the hd6950. Had a look at the GTX570, could afford just but not entirely sure if it's that much better than a 560, if it's worth the cash..

Running a 22" monitor, q9550 at 3.6ghz and 8gb dominator ddr3 with a foxconn blackops mobo.

Help me decide!

I was in a similar position, finally decided just to get another second hand 4890 for £50 quid and go crossfire. Very happy with the additional performance and will see me through to the 7 series AMD cards which will be my next major upgrade

Was in this same boat last month upgrading from my 4890. I went for the 6950 due to the extra vram and how well it preforms at high res compared to the 560. I have the MSI 6950, great card. Was getting a steady 45 - 60 fps in the BF3 beta all on high at 1080p

Is there a noticeable difference going to 2x 4890 crossfire? I could actually get hold of one from a friend cheap. With my specs would it run bf3 ok?

You can see here where a 4890 and a 4870 x2 stand vs newer cards

Crossfire 4890s should be up there between 275 SLI and 285 SLI on that particular chart.

Might even beat the 285 SLI on that Crysis chart because that's a particularly good game for ATI.
