Upgrading from a 7950

Currently own just one Windforce 7950 and am thinking of upgrading.

Was thinking about the 290X but am now leaning towards the green team, wanting to go back and try them out again. So am also thinking of a 780 or 780Ti.

Main purposes are purely for gaming. While I dont play very intensive games atm (league of legends), I believe I may be moving back to my old roots like Crysis 3, Titanfall etc.
+, i am only running 1080p monitors, but now i actually have 3, so i may occasionally decide to play on all 3 (doubt it, but it might be a possibility).

BIG EDIT: Quietness is a MAJOR factor. Id say the windforce is pretty quiet, not perfect but i can live with it.

Why is that? Also, any specific models? Looking for a quiet cooler and also, a range with the highest amount of overclockers is good as well.

It does allow for it but is don't really want to add anymore heat and noise into the system right now. If I was on water I would. Also, windforce 7950s are hard to come by.
Selling my one now could get me £200 so I'd he happy to jump to a 290/290x or 780/780Ti

I'd get the card I linked above then. A very good price for a 290x +games too

Value-wise the 290 and 780 are better than their bigger brothers.

Saying that, the MSI above is really not far off 290 pricing either but if you're after a value upgrade then by all means get a 290.

At the res that you will be going to I would want all the grunt I could get within reason, hence in this case I'd personally go for the MSI 290x

I definitely think 780/780ti should be considered, if your concerned about heat in system you can stick to the reference cooler which exhausts out the system.

780s start at £360 currently.
290 start at £319

Bottom line is 780/780tis or 290/290x are all powerful cards.

MSI 780 Gaming Edition if you want quietness. The ASUS is super quiet too and cools better but isn't worth the price premium.

To be majorly honest, price isnt a problem. Just what is suitable / the best that I need.
Obviously, keeping noise to a minimum

I would go for nVidia if you're looking to go to 3 monitors. nVidia cards can connect to three screens using DVI and HDMI and you don't need to mess about with those annoying active DP-DVI adaptors that AMD cards make you use.

I really can't fathom why those are still needed with AMD seeing as they were the first to push multi-screen gaming hard.

Since i have my 7950, i had to buy an adapter as well. mini DP to DVI. IIRC it cost a decent sum of money.
Never knew nVidia dont need them, but sway for me.

I think I will be picking up a 780. How is the Titan cooler?
Im still open to suggestions btw, 780Ti or for the AMD side. Right now though, it seems like the 780 is the way to go (even though i cant help my self to wanting a 780Ti)
