Yeah you read that right - don't laugh :p

Looking to upgrade my graphics card and been out of the loop too long. Mainly looking to be ready for GTA V (specs unknown) and take advantage of cranking the detail on some of the games I've picked up in the Steam sale.

I was looking at this: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-175-OK

which seems to be pretty good for the price (I'm willing to spend approx. £200) but would it run OK off a 620W Corsair PSU (Modular)?

Rest of the PC is nothing special:

q6600
4GB RAM
24" screen but more than happy to drop resolution to bring performance up

Would that fit the bill nicely or should I be looking at something else?

I went from a 9800gt to an ATI 6950. One of the twin Frozr (?) ones from here.
Was just over £200 but you get dirt 3 and Deus Ex thrown in as steam downloads.

I'm playing bf3 at full res on my monitor (2048x1152) with most of the settings on max.
Every other game I've got at full res with everything pumped right up.

The card runs very cool and is quiet to boot.

edit: Sorry. The price has gone up since I bought it (it's now £250). I think it was on offer when I got it.

Have a look at a 2GB MSI 560Ti Frozer. That's currently on sale at around £215. It's comparable to 6950. If you overclock it further, it'll be quicker.

the corsair 620w will be more than enough for a GTX560Ti.. and a 2gb card for less than £200 is great also... get that card, you will not be disappointed!

ive allready got a 1000W coolmaster psu and 1Tb harddrive and the intel rst2011 liquid cooler

well im upgrading from a qx9650 and i dont think the sandybridge e are that bad you pay round £350 extra for a sandybridge e system cos money wise you pay more for the cpu bit more for a mother board and very slightly more for the ram

but you don't really get that much extra power in gaming for spending an extra 200 odd quid on the 3930k than you get on the i7-2700k... its just stupid!

its not that stupid the motherboards are allready pcie 3 ready you get quad channel memory (for when aplications and games can use it properly) and again 6 cores for when alplications can use it properly i wont be upgrading now for a good 5 years except for the gfx card so for me the extra £200 is worth it thats what ive always done buy the best i can with the money i got and it lasts for ages
