Hi everyone,

I currently have a GTX970 had it since launch and looking to upgrade my GPU. Its running fine but it's the oldest part of my rig now since upgrading my platform to ryzen 5 2600 last summer and has no backplate, and colours dont match the rest of tower :D

looking to spend around £350, 1660 TI looks good on all things except cuda cores, do cuda cores make a big difference if the clock speeds and memory are all higher?

Thanks

The newer nVidia cards seem to do relatively well with less CUDA cores, though it's hard to recommend the GTX 1660 Ti with the faster Vega 56 being at a similar or sometimes cheaper price with about 10%+ more performance. At your budget, I'd think the RTX 2060 would represent a worthwhile improvement over the 1660 Ti if you must have nVidia.

That ray tracing demo from cryengine on a Vega GPU looks interesting too . For the money AMD are looking good at all but the top level of gpu
