Hi guys.
What do you think of this setup.
You think it could be improved.
Sort of at top end of my budget.
Usage is mainly gaming . flight sims---Dcs world soo on.
Also oculus rift and maybe a 4k monitor one day.
Not sure if maybe a intel setup be better.
Thanks for looking.

Then think about parts in long term and distribute budget to parts also basing on how long they can be used/keep their value.
PC hobby becomes good amount cheaper over years if you think in long term instead immediate future and fashion.

Graphics card loses lots of value in couple years, and is at best really mediocre after four years, no matter how much you pay for it.
While power supply doesn't need to be replaced as often, if you just get good quality one, instead of mediocrity made from cheap parts.

And now you have there luxury graphics card and low end PSU made from cheap ass parts with poor 3 year warranty...
Because its maker knows that with longer warranty likelyhood for too many of them failing during it to keep balance positive would increase sharply.

High quality high end PSUs come with 10 year (or even 12 year) warranty, while I definitely wouldn't trust such cheap PSU after 3-4 years.
While if you want to keep PC in high end you always need to change graphics card after that time.

Bitfenix Formula would becheapest I would recommend, but with that kidn luxury graphics card in there Seasonic Focus Plus Gold shouldn't be too much.

if you're gonna spend that much, i'd rather recommend this instead.

also you don't need a 650w psu, that's neither here nor there. not required to run a single gpu build, and not powerful enough to run 2 gpus. 550w is sufficient for a single gpu build

550w is a bit tight for an overclocked 8700k + 1080ti imo

@southernorth naaaw, i ran an oc 3770k with an oc 7990 on a full custom loop with a 650w psu
550w is fine, ofc for an extra tenner one could argue that the 650w psu is better value though

Not 100% sure having not built in it but I would guess that it probably wont given the top drive cage being tight to the top of the filter, and I had the same issue trying to squeeze in a 280mm NZXT Kraken into an s340 elite. Some more case choices for you, they are mostly the same just depends what you like the most.
