Upgrading from AMD to Intel sandybridge what do I need?

Hi guys

This is just a thought, not actually going to do it, but what would I need to get apart from the CPU i7 2600k and new motherboard for the upgrade? Can i use my existing ddr3 1333 ram? I have a H70 cooler, does the cooler have the correct back plate for the new Z68 boards?

What voltage does your ram run at?

I would think your cooler should fit as the Z68 boards will use the same fixings as P67 & P55 (Socket 1155) boards.

Looking at CPU-Z it claims to be running at 1.5v, is that right? It's a generic crucial ram 4x2gb sticks.

Best bet is double check in the BIOS and each memory module will have the recommended voltage on, but if it is 1.50v you will be fine.

Does the new z68 boards require more voltage to run unlike the AMD counterparts?
