Hi need help with upgrading graphic card. My HP pc is quite old and playing many new games on it is nightmare.
I have: Intel i3-3220 3.30GHz, 1TB hard drive, RAM 8GB DDR3, 64 bit system, Gigabyte tech motherboard and NVIDIA geforce GT 640 graphic card.
Should I look for GTX 750ti? GTX 1050ti won't go as I think? Please help me with advice

Yeah I would get all new if you want to play anything new.

But if you can I would measure up and see what cards will actually fit in the case. You'll need to check what power supply is in there too.

Download and install a program called CPUz

When you installed it, run it. There are multiple tabs that you can choose to see what sort of hardware you have. That Gigabyte motherboard might be able to have a different CPU dropped in, for a bit of a boost. MIGHT be able to....

Post up what each of the tabs say so we can work out your system specs and advise you better

Depends on which HP you have is it a tower or a small form factor. If a tower a 750ti, 1050ti or 1650 as they dont need external power. If its a sff you are going to struggle to get a small form factor GPU. Gigabyte did a 750ti which I used is a similiar spec and it let me play stuff on low-medium which is about what you could expect with that setup.

Or better just to get new pc? :D:D:D

Maybe - what is the PSU wattage and the model number of the system you have??

I would probably look at a GT1030 2GB GDDR5 or a GTX750TI 2GB. The GTX1050 and GTX1050TI are better but IIRC they consume more power and have higher TDPs.

A review of both:
https://www.tomshardware.com/uk/reviews/nvidia-geforce-gt-1030-2gb,5110-4.html

In a number of titles surprisingly the GT1030 is similar to the GTX750TI,but the GTX750TI is the faster of the two,and can be had for £50 from CEX. However, some GTX750TI cards do have an extra PCI-E power connector for some reason.

Em actually yes. Was looking at this one https://www.very.co.uk/hp-pavilion-...aphics-gaming-desktop-pc-black/1600397927.prd
Just wanted to know if changing graphic card will improve a lot but if not then will just buy new pc
Linking to competitors isn't allowed, your post should be edited (or likely will be by a Mod soon).

For the £870 that machine costs you'll get a MUCH better machine if you build it yourself.

You could certainly get a major boost with a Core i7-3770K for around £100 and a new graphics card, but that money is money you could be putting towards your brand new, much better machine. And would only really be a 12-18 month stopgap, if that long.

You will get much better performance with a GTX750TI over a GT640,but even a GTX750TI can struggle in newer games.

Regarding a new PC,you can get something like this off OcUK:
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk...eforce-gtx-1660-super-fs-1dv-og.html#t=b1c1e9

The base configuration was upgraded to a Ryzen 5 3600,16GB DDR4 and a 500GB WD SN550 SSD.

There are also other PC builders you could look at too,but since this is the OcUK forum,we can't talk about those.
