upgrading from haswell i5-4670k @ 4.3ghz

Motherboard died and I'm not throwing good money after bad (hard to source a new z97 mb)- so its upgrade time.

need bang for the buck, something with equiv or greater performance bearing in mind my GPU is
a 970 and I don't play to upgrade it, mostly game at 1920x1200, eg. warcraft, which likes CPU clock.

giving the i3-8350k serious consideration. how are they for oc'ing? if i can spend an extra 50 quid for i5, i'll do that.

How did your board die or what is wrong with it?

it died overnight with a usb 3.0 sdcard reader plugged in, but tbh it was crashing randomly for months before that. Gigabyte z97-d3h
