upgrading from i5 2500k?

Ive asked this question a few times over the last few years, I have an I5 2500k, p8p67 pro motherboard, 16gb memory, GTX 970. Is there anything out there worth upgrading to now? usually people say theres not really anything that's a significant step up so I leave it but Im bored of waiting & want to do something anyway

bearing in mind im the sort of guy who buys the GTX 970, so not the top model, what is a worthy upgrade towards the upper end of the market? preferably something that will make the GPU the weak point/bottle neck so I can upgrade that at a later date as its doing fine right now.

cpu, memory, motherboard combination suggestions is what im after. Thanks for any help.

If you dont tend to buy tip end stuff and after a new cpu/Mobo/ram combo have a look at the Ryzen stuff there are bundles with everything included or you can spec it up yourself. The range is great for the prices atm and you will have Am4 for quite along time so you may be able to just buy another processor and keep your board
