In abit of a dilemna, been using my trusty i5 3570k for a good 6-7 years now and i think its starting to show its age a little. Recently upgraded to a 980ti from 2x680's but feel rest of the system is lagging behind now.

The problem is what upgrade path to take? My form factor is matx and want to stick with that.

Ideally want to keep with using my corsair dominator ddr 16gb ram as it cost a bomb when i bought it back then!

Im also using a custom loop so would i need a new waterblock as well to suit the new motherboard?

What would people recommend i do for an upgrade?
Board and cpu if i was to stick with my current ram config

Or board, cpu and ram?

I game mostly and do some overclocking.

Thanks for your help.

Okay say i was to fully upgrade to DDR4.. What recommendations would people recommend in terms of socket? I've been out of the loop for awhile... Skylake, coffee lake, Kaby lake? Whats the best route and cpu to go for at the moment?
