Upgrading from T5200

Hi. I've got a Toshiba Equium A100-338 laptop, already upgraded to a larger 320gb hdd and 4gb 5300 ram. What is the highest spec chip i can upgrade to? Either with the current ram or 6400? I'm not sure if it will support 6400, i can't find a definitive answer.

Would it be really worth the risk? Can you actually swap the chip easily or even at all? How much would you gain?

I know laptops are tricky to take apart/repair, but if its possible/worth doing, then i could be tempted.
