Upgrading from Viewsonic VP930

I bought my VP930 in 2006. A couple of months ago it developed a fault and had to be repaired. It had a flashing green power light and had to have a few caps replaced. I have now noticed that I have about 10 grey pixels. It's not the end of the world but perhaps now is the time to upgrade. I was happy to pay a bit more for this monitor due to its panel type and because of the excellent reviews I'd read about it. In fact, the guide by Baddass, was the clincher. I think it cost about £270.
The replacement has to be widescreen and I don't want a TN panel. I'm happy to pay for a quality monitor but looking at the options, I don't want to pay the £400 or more for a Dell U2410. I'd like a 22" or 24" with a quality panel and picture at least as good as this VP930. Granted it's only 5:4 aspect ratio and it does have these really annoying grey pixels but overall the VP930s picture is excellent.
What would be a good upgrade?
I'd really appreciate any advice.
Thanks

How would the Dell 2209 compare in terms of image quality to my current monitor?
My VP930 has a P-MVA panel and I am very happy with it. The 2209 uses an e-IPS panel. How do these compare?
Are there any good quality monitors from 22" to 24" that would be at least as good as the VP930. I don't really want to spend more than £300.
Thanks

Failsafe: If you still have that VP930 I would be interested for spares.

(Or to sell mine - main video board seems iffy - panel is good as far as I can see - some black areas are showing as greenish vertical bars and other strange picture effects (looks like interference on video signal)).
