upgrading from windows xp

i would just like to check out everyones opinion before i upgrade. i have a fast mondern computer that works well in xp and i like the look of windows 7 is it worth upgrading. my friends tell me its still worth going to 7. thanks in advance

thanks for the quick replies, yes my hardware is fine have checked it out to see if there would me any problems. i take it an upgrade is all i need and not the full.

thanks for all the advice, on the same theme do you all recomend the full version over the upgrade (twenty five pounds cheaper)
