So as spec in siggy, I'm currently using a 8800Gts 512mb dual screening, 1 being a 22inch and another a 19inch, I use 2 screens as I'm always doing several things at any one time, be it burning, gaming, watching something but anyways am looking to upgrade to either 4870x2 or the 295GTX's so I wouldn't have to upgrade till like end of the year or so..but yeah so been reading upon here and reading what peoples views are on both cards so I ask you now what does ye suggests??

does your 8800GTS handle all your games fine?

any performance hit in games when dual screening as opposed to single screening?

if your 8800GTS is still adequate for your needs, but dual screening causes a performance hit in games, thought of simply running your secondary display off a separate card like a 8400GS esp if nothing graphically demanding is running on the secondary display

dont think my mobo has another pci x16 slot for another card but its a sound plan hmmm, as for performance wise.. does lag a lil now playing Left4Dead and listenin to iTunes same time, the game slows down a lil but all else at the same time runs finee

are you sure the lag caused by L4D and itunes at the same time is the GPU not the cpu or any other part of your system, although it does seem you system should be able to handle both of those tasks running at the same time.

also is your CPU at stock?

if your MB is the abit IP35 pro, you do have 2x 16xpcie slots (physically)

aye its at stock still, and oh didnt know that gotta see on that then hmm about a 8400GS, would one still be able to use ultramon if I were to do that?
