Hello All,

Just need some advice on upgrading my graphics card and Ram, I have a budget of around £400?

Current Graphics: GeForce GTX 560 Ti
Current Ram: 4GB 2x2GB CMX4GX3M2B1600C9
Power: Corsair 600w PSU

Please could someone give me advice on the best card / ram for the money?

Mainly to play Battlefield 4 at Ultra (if possible) hopefully future games will also run at higher/ultra for some time too.

cheers for any help! :p

Hold fire until tomorrow to see what the 290 Pro brings and how much it costs. A 780 would be a good buy at the top end of your budget but there are a few options. What resolution are you gaming at? A good 600W PSU will be fine for any single gpu. What Corsair model is it?

Thanks for the replies guys.

I was thinking of waiting for the 290 to release! I'm just hoping it retails around the £300 mark, although there wouldn't be any benchmarks for at least a few days? And I know they held it back due to bugs within the drivers etc., if was to be released tomorrow, how long would it likely take before this can be bought online?

I'm gaming at 1920x1080 resolution and I believe these are the specs for the PSU.

Thanks again.

from what i gather the ocuk warehouse is full of them ;-) so they will be available instantly and the card has already been benchmarked ... just nda doesn't allow us to know results yet

I am in a very similar situation like you, I have a GTX480 and going to change it to either 770 or 780, just hope when the 780ti released on thusday, the 770/780 price will get even cheaper.

I'm glad I waited and took the advice Ragnahex and Shadow_Boxer.

I bought the Sapphire R9 290 Pro, a new PSU and some better RAM mentioned in another thread. :D

Should hopefully help with Overclocking!

I would wait for the release of the 780Ti as there could potentially be a sale on plus you will have specs/benchmarks to go by, its worth the wait! ;)
