Upgrading graphics card

Hi, I'm now looking to upgrade my graphics card to something thats not going to generate a lot of heat as you can see from my sig i have a 3870x2. I feel that its causing my games to crash so now im wanting to change it. I havea budget of £100-£150 can anyone give me ideas of what i should go for?

Links as wel would be a great help.....

Ati 4890 or a 5770 are in your budget.

I think you should get the HD4890 because its faster than the HD5770 but will not support DX 11 but however the HD5770 supports DX 11 but will surely struggle on its own in DX 11 games.

Id go 4890 over 5770 - much better performance in every game

Although it does lack DX11 - but thats not hugely important atm

would i be right in saying that heat generated off my current card could casue my games 2 crash?

Erm, not entirely sure. But Im rather doubtful. Its quite unlikely that ur gfx cards would produce enough heat to over power all the fans in your case and heat your pc up to the temperature that it would crash at.

But, I could be wrong
