Upgrading Hardware Advice

Hey Guys,

I buy a lot from OC and thought I'd get some advice for a change!

I have a ASUS M3N72-T Deluxe Motherboard. (Can't really upgrade it as my Windows 7 is OEM and tied to the board)

I'm intending to upgrade my current CPU and RAM.

Can anyone suggest what I should get for better performance in games and general speediness of the PC?

I believe i would also need to update the BIOS on the board so that it reads new CPU's as it has an older version on it that wont see anything.

I currently have:

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4800+ 2.50ghz
Gfx: BFG OC Geforce 8800 512MB
RAM: DDR2 PC2-5300 (333MHz)


Ohh and my price range is around £250 for the CPU and RAM :)
