Have been thinking about getting Logic and realised that my 80gb drive may not be enough for everything, considering I now only have about 45gb free. Am also thinking about doubling the 1gb of memory to 2gb as Logic may need it.

Can I get any laptop drive or does it have to be a specific model and is it a simple procedure of taking out the old and putting the new one in and then using the Mac OS X discs?

I'm aware that OcUK is offering memory at brilliant prices so may take up this offer - is this also a simple change? Which type of memory will be required?

You seem to have bailed me out a few times - thanks for the help :)

Can it be any of the RAM on sale that OcUK offers for Mac? (From the link in the Sticky in Mac Hardware)

2x512mb sadly - had checked that otherwise I would just get another 1gb stick.

I doubt I could get much for it if I sold it also.

Also, with regards to the hd is it a sata 2.5" or an ide 2.5"?

Brilliant - think I'll go for the 160gb Fujitsu one that's rated 5 stars from other reviews and the 2gb kit you linked me to :)

Birthday on wednesday so hopefully get enough money then!

Thanks for all the help mate - I'll donate you a beer via PayPal lol.
