Upgrading help needed

Thinking about upgrading some components in my pc

It plays MW3 fine and also BF3 on High but my FPS does drop sometimes to about 35 - 45 but i'm after upgrading my GPU and maybe CPU some other components if needed. I dunno what yet maybe you guys can help me with that choice, the card im running at the moment is a NVidia GeForce GTX 460 (768MB. I understand this was a fairly good card a couple of years ago when i got it, but i'm wanting something that plays BF3 a tad better than what i have, i have a limit of about £300.00-£400.00 GBP for components basically the best bang for my buck!.

If theres anything else you guys think i could do with upgrading without spending a bomb please mention it. But please keep in mind i'm a tad rusty when it comes to PC hardware these days. Here is my current setup

8GB RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium (64bit)
NVidia GeForce 460 gtx (768MB)

Not a game changing boost on the GPU but still quite a bit more power, CPU is much better.

Not spec'd a cooler as i don't know what case you have.

OOPS my bad only signed upto hear yesterday lol well what i had in mind were

TBH i dont think the upgrade to a 965 is going to make any real difference there fairly similar performance wise.
If your not up for switching to intel at this point just sink the pennies into a 680 or 7970 and save up for a mobo + processor in the future.

if you swap to intel its a new mobo and clean install of windows.

Advice that the majority of people will give: don't bother with an AMD processor. Go with a 3570k for sure.

If you rang microsoft you may get away with replacing mboard. just say old one broke.

i have a oem copy of windows so ill need to buy a new one which kinda sucks! but i could always do what Dunn says
