Upgrading help.

I know it's not allowed to speak about other sites being cheaper but this really is a steal, let's just hope those prices stay the same or go lower once I have all the money together :D

Another thing, will my GPU be upto scratch for a stock 4770K? *I'm looking to keep it stock until I actually need to OC it.*

I currently have a 3GB Sapphire HD 7950 Vapor-X OC, which is now a year old.

And what about a new PSU, I currently have a Corsair 650W TX.

I would like to get a new PSU, possibly the AX760 or another which is a Platinum PSU to save in the long time on running costs, am I correct in thinking the Platinum's use less power etc or something?

Your Psu will be fine.
Prices do go up and down quite a lot, depending on weekly and daily deals. You will just have to see how prices stand when you come to buy.

I take it I'll need to buy a new version of Windows?

Should I go for an OEM version or not, also what's the difference?

Well I ordered a PC from a PC building website, and I think... I installed it myself.

Since buying a new HDD I was able to install it onto the new HDD I believe, so would I be able to re-use it once again?

I thought it had something to do with the motherboards too?

If it refuses to activate, you can ring MS and tell them you have had to change mobo, as your last one died, always works.

If you already have windows installed on your HDD then you should be ok. You will just have to install the new drivers for the motherboard.

Wow really, and there was me thinking I had to spend £70 for an OEM version or more for retail...

Maybe I could treat myself to something else instead then if that's the case :P

I would try first with the new board first just to be on the safe side. If it doesn't play ball then you could do as Idleman suggests. I know that i have changed motherboards in the past without a re-install of windows, but I may have had the retail version already installed.

Well I found out that my current Windows 7 came pre-installed on my system, so I'll try and see if I can get it to work on the new mobo when the time comes, but if I can't which should I buy?

Win7, Win8 or Win8.1?

It's mainly just a gaming PC, maybe streaming in the future, and general use.

Also could I get some reasons or suggestions as to which CPU to choose?

i5-4670K
i7-4770K
An AMD equivalent
