Hello All.
It's difficult to know where to start. I have looked at bundles but they often seem a bit of a compromise?
I have a case that is OK, not new but up to date. It has a fairly new and little used (as a "spare" pc") modular power supply / SSD and storage HDD BUT only a low spec motherboard and an i3 processor and 16GB DDR3 memory).
It has a Radeon RX580 graphics board.
I want to upgrade the thing so that when my grandson visits it will run his games (e.g. MS flight simulator, Forza, etc...)
So I need - motherboard, processor and DDR4 memory.
Thinking of this motherboard as I seem to have had no issues with GIGABYTE motherboards (or ASUS come to that):
Gigabyte Z490 Aorus Elite AC (Socket LGA 1200) DDR4 ATX Motherboard
Stock Code MB-58F-GI - Was: £249.95, now £199.99 (post free as long term Forum member).
Then thinking of an i5 CPU - which one do I need for grandsons gaming please?
This one OK? (no overclocking planned)
Intel core i5-10600 3.30GHz (Comet Lake) Socket LGA1200 Processor - Retail £209
Any advice welcome please? Thanks, Mel
