Upgrading laptop CPU - warranty issues?

Hi all,

I'm considering upgrading the CPU in my Acer Aspire 6935G from an Intel C2D P7350 (2GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 3MB cache) to either a P8600 or a T9500 processor. I know the laptop can take either as they were manufactured with either of those processos.

What I'd like to know is, do you think doing the upgrade would void my warranty?

yes it would void your warranty without a dout.

Opening up your laptop also voids your warranty

Yeah figured as much, the CPU is easily accessible on this one, just need to take the big plastic cover off, and then the CPU is right there. Might stilldo it if I can source the CPU at a reasonable price.
