hi guys, just joined the forum today
I've been wanting to upgrade my CPU in my advent roma 2000 - it is a single core celeron 900 2.20 ghz and my motherboard is a socket p 478. I wanted to upgrade the cpu to maybe a dual core, or something that is better to enhance the performance further since i upgraded the laptop to a max 4gb memory.
. i have looked at the manual and it says that it supports:
Supports Celeron Dual core, up to 1.83/1.66GHz
(T1700/T1600), 65nm,1MB L2 Cache 667MHz FSB TPD
35W
Supports Pentium (R) Dual, up to 2.00/2.16GHz
(T3200/T3400), 65nm, 1MB L2 Cache 667 MHz FSB TDP
35W
Supports Penryn CPU dual core, 45nm, TDP 35W
(Montevina), 800/1066MHz FSB, 4M/6M L2 cache, socket P
i was wondering whether anyone can give me advice on what cpu i can upgrade to, are these the only 3 or is there more? I tried seaching for the second one on that list, the dual Pentium, but no where seems to sell it.
cheers in advance, kirk
