Hey guys.

Basically I have a Asus X59GL-AP006C laptop sitting about and it's fairly perky for very light gaming. However, Vista is a ram hog and it only came with 2gigs. I've tried a few google searches and not really come out with any more than I went in with.

I'm looking to either shove another 1gig or 2gig of ram in there but have a few questions:

1) Is upgrading laptop ram easy?
2) How do I find out which ram is compatible?

Thanks.

Upgrading the RAM is pretty simple you will need to remove a panel off the bottom of the laptop which is normally held in place with small screws. As for what RAM is compatible refer to your user manual and it should tell you how much RAM it can take.

Code:

If what I've read is correct, the X59GL takes up to 4GB of DDR2 PC2-5300C5 667MHz. If you have 1x2GB at the moment all you really need is another 1GB (assuming your using 32-bit os because 32-bit only utilizes 3.25 GB anyway) but if there's 2x1GB then you want a 1x2GB
